I found this book as entertaining as a soap opera, but in a good sense. The plot sucks you in and you just have to read the next chapter; the alternating character chapters were a clever choice. I also appreciated the ending (no spoilers).However, there were a few things that kind of tripped me up while reading. The first was the descriptions of characters just having red hair, jet black hair, honey skin, etc. that made the writing sound cliched at times. There also was a lot telling rather than showing in the plot.
Lastly, there were a few misspelled words (not related to the characters dialogue) that could be corrected.
Overall, I recommend snuggling up with your favorite blanket and beverage of choice and get to reading.

This book was great! Definitely tugged at the heartstrings a bit. This was written so realistically that I could relate to some of the characters in this book. I also wanted to smack some of the characters in this book so you know if a book has you feeling like that, it's a good one!
5/5 stars and I can't wait to read more from this author!
This novel is very raw, heartfelt, and intense. I couldn't put it down, so I read the entire book in one sitting. The author evokes the pain, the lust, the happiness, and the sorrow of the characters in the story. Very descriptive, as if a movie is playing in my head. I certainly felt all of the emotions when I read this book. I can't wait to read more novels by Jeanelle!!
I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Turner's first novel. She really makes you care about her characters and leads you through their struggles with a deft hand, giving you the feeling that you're closer to the story than you possibly could be. I will most certainly be anxiously awaiting her next novel. One of my favorite new authors!
Ms. Turner pulled me in from the beginning of the story. As I continued reading I went through so many emotions! This was a well written, heartfelt book! Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

I loved it
This book is nothing less than a page turner! If you have a busy day planned do not start reading this book because you will not get anything done! The author captured reality as well as all the constant ups and downs of the characters thus allowing the reader to experience the roller coaster ride as well! This book is a must read!!!
